I, honestly, was of the opinion that animated movies are for kids and had stopped showing interest in animated movies lately. But I have been proven wrong. Animated movies do not have a particular targeted audience, to be honest. It suits anyone looking to let their heart out a bit. Here’s a list of animated movies on Disney+Hotstar that will fill up your heart.
1.Up (2009)
Get ready for a cathartic experience! Up is a soulful film about an old widower, Carl. He is extremely lonely after the death of his wife. To fulfill her last wish, he wants to shift their house to a cliff overlooking Paradise Falls in South America. For this, he uses a hundred thousand helium balloons to uproot his home and fly to South America. Russell, a wilderness explorer who just wants a badge of helping the elderly also ends up becoming a part of Carl’s adventure. Up is a thoughtful feel-good movie that will bring a smile to your face.

2. The Jungle Book (1967)
The Jungle Book has been a part of our childhood. The characters of The Jungle Book are no strangers to us. A baby boy is found abandoned in the jungles of India and is adopted by Bagheera, a black panther who with the help of other loving animals takes care of him and names him Mowgli. Mowgli grows up in the wilderness with all the love from the animals around but not animals are loving and they try to prey on his life. How will Mowgli escape their hunger? Riley is forced to uproot her life from Minnesota to plant it in an entirely new place in San Francisco. Several emotions in her mind are personified as these creatures who come together to discuss Riley’s mental situation. The different emotions, Joy, Sadness, Fear, Disgust, and Anger have a falling out due to their conflicting nature and Riley loses control over herself. 6. Frozen (2013)
Frozen tells the story of two sisters, Elsa and Anna who grow distant due to certain events. Elsa, the elder sister, finds it difficult to control her power of turning everything into ice and this jeopardizes the situation as she is also the newly crowned queen. Anna, the younger sister, helps Elsa in bringing the situation back to normal. The song “Let it go” from the film is still popular among the audience.
7. Tangled (2010)
Taking inspiration from the age-old fairy tale, Tangled tells the tale of Rapunzel, a beautiful princess who has been locked up in a fort. Rapunzel has beautiful and magnificent hair which catches everyone’s attention instantly. Rapunzel’s life changes as Eugene, a kind-hearted thief makes an entrance. With his help, Rapunzel gets out of the captivation and explores the world that was forbidden to her.
