Cunning and enchanting both at the same time. I’m talking about the gorgeous female characters in Hindi cinema who left us spellbound with their villain-esque charisma. Oh, how we love to hate them!

We always visualize a man when thinking of a movie villain. Thanks to these amazing characters for helping in breaking this stereotype.

Here’s a look at such female villains from Bollywood that we can’t stop gushing over.

Two films old, former Miss World Priyanka Chopra took a decision that is no less than gambling by taking up a role of a seductress in the film Aitraaz. She plays Sonia, an evil boss who tries to molest her co-worker (also her ex-boyfriend) Raj. The film turned out to be a massive success and Priyanka went on to receive immense praise for her stunning performance. The film gave her the big break she was waiting for, turning her into a credible actor and star.

3. Shabana Azmi in Makdee

Makdee is a film made with children as the target audience. So having a female villain like the ones mentioned above may seem a little inappropriate. Well, Shabana Azmi plays a witch, the titular role, who scares children. This is a role in which we can hardly imagine the beautiful 70s heroine Shabana. She executes the character with perfection, sending us chills with her crooked glance.

4. Bipasha Basu in Raaz 3

Evil, black magic, and charm, Bipasha is a combination of all three in Raaz 3. She plays Shanaya, a super successful starlet who is obsessed with her stardom. Esha Gupta’s character Sanjana rises to the top of the game and poses a threat to Shanaya. Sanjana also happens to be Shanaya’s step-sister. Filled with jealousy, Shanaya uses black magic to destroy her nemesis, Sanjana. The hot vamp however fails in her mission and ends up killing herself. It is impossible to imagine anyone other than Bipasha for this role. Shanaya has to be one of the finest female villains in Bollywood

5. Juhi Chawla in Gulab Gang

The film Gulab Gang brought back two of the most loved actresses of the 90s; Madhuri Dixit and Juhi Chawla on a single screen. While Madhuri plays the good girl, Juhi Chawla plays the villain who wants to bring down the Gulab Gang led by Madhuri’s character. This is the first time that Juhi played a negative character in her career. She plays Sumitra Bargecha, a shrewd politician who manipulates the public. Though the film didn’t set the cash register at the box office, Juhi’s performance was appreciated by the critics.

6.Kangana Ranaut in Krissh 3

Queen Kangana plays a character with a negative shade in this Hrithik Roshan starrer. She plays Kavya, the henchwoman of the main protagonist Kaal (played by Vivek Oberoi). Though not the main villain, she does total justice to her character.
